Anybody see any good movies lately? I find that my writing goes better if I enjoy other types of entertainment like movies. A good movie must get my mind going.
We saw Guardians of the Galaxy last weekend and there was so much going on that I need to see it again. Fun! Groot was pretty cute.
Walks help too. Taking my dogs through the woods usually starts my ideas flowing.

I saw the new King Arthur movie. It was amazing!
100% agree with you, Michelle, a good movie always gets my creative juices flowing. There's something about the difference in medium. I don't know what it is... Well, maybe it's my dormant hope that my book(s) will be made into a movie.

Michelle: Glad to hear from a fellow dog lover. Running with my dog is where most of my inspiration for my stories comes from. I absolutely love this forum. Thanks for putting it together!
FACEOFF on Syfy channel is my go too creative pick-me-up. Artists following their dreams fills me with joy and excitement to follow a creative path. Immersing myself in TV shows with memorable characters always inspires me. I love long running shows where I get attached to characters. I want to bring that to my own writing. I'd say movies, but since I became a mom, watching movies doesn't happen much anymore.
Walking the dogs helps me brainstorm, as do long car rides. Reading used to be my top form of entertainment, but I've found it less "fun" while working on my own stuff, especially in a revision stage.

I am entrenched in toddlerdom, so the most recent movie I've seen is Sing. It's actually quite good. The last adult movie was Manchester by the Sea, which I'm glad I saw and will never watch again.

I used to watch Face Off. Kind of got out of it after a couple of season. Very fun to watch how they create all that stuff.
I remember the days when a trip to a movie was a huge event because of our kids. Kind of enjoy the fact that they are grown and can see anything now. :-)
The Before Sunset films are lessons in dialogue, connection, and stakes. And they're beautiful. But if I really want to escape, some brainless action or stupid horror does the trick.
I also love taking walks in the woods or around lakes. Sometimes I intentionally do it around dusk, so the creepy comes out in my creative mind. Ha! But a good movie also gets my juices flowing too. Doesn't matter the type, something always sparks. I've got a LONG list of book ideas that will probably outstretch my lifespan. Well, that's going on the assumption that most authors only have 1-2 books published a year. Now, if I can get pubbed like James Patterson, well now, I might see them all into fruition! :-)
